Style: each picture on this sheet is made of two parts that are drawn in completely different ways, and the two never touch. The animal itself is a real photograph — true fur detail, individual hairs visible at the edge of the coat, real light falling across the body, and wet catchlights in the eyes. The photograph is cut out exactly along the animal's own coat, so the fur meets the transparent background directly, with no white edge, no outline, no rim, no halo and no glow around it. The animal is drawn small inside its cell: it fills only about three fifths of the cell's width and height, so a wide band of empty space is left all the way around it on every side. Inside that empty band sit only the few small hand drawn marks listed for that cell, in the position named for that cell. Those marks are simple felt tip marker doodles with clean even lines, drawn in black, pink or yellow.
